questa è un'altra versione originale del tema venere e cupido , questa volta mostra il giovane filippo ii che suona l'organo . questi dipinti di venere non si basano su alcun tema mitologico . È stato suggerito che una possibile spiegazione per l'eccezionale combinazione di un contemporaneo ( in questo caso anche identificabile ) persona e una donna nuda sarebbero un'allegoria dei sensi . La pelle nuda , la bellezza della scena , e il suono dell'organo potrebbe rappresentare i sensi del tatto , vista e udito .
